kiss and tell
come and run. run into love
fall. fall hard and know what love can be
a dizzy sense of childhood crashing into the real world
who cares what people say what they think what you do if you sink
take care of feelings present. forget those of the past
today, a love for real is a love to last
kiss your man. take his hand.
love your girl. scream it to the whole wide world.
don't kiss and tell and tell and kiss
a regret in your heart
could be the love of your life. gone, missed...

War is War
War has no mercy
Like a wounded love, fragments of souls and hearts fly into the abyss
War shows no preference
Whether young or old, rich or poor
The Angel of Death, Azrael will hover his wings upon his next victim
War has no resolve
Traces of destruction and carnage will remain on the lands of war torn nations for a life time
Despair will run through the veins of the dead and living for eternity...

Silence
With a quiet heart I became alive again
My love radiating around you, being a mirror to my soul
In melancholy I reach gently for the sunshine to exile in a warm rapture of divine peace
To hear the simple silence of Mother Earth’s love
To lose myself in the infinite blue of the sky
And with immortal wings my love will fly with thirst to be eternally yours…

Linger…
I lay day dreaming in a sea of love
Consumed by your heart; devoured by your passion
You frequent my dreams
We embark together on journey’s that take us hand in hand over a mystical sky
The smell of sweet lavender fills the air
With each sway of the breeze that drifts upon our face, I pray that this dream will remain forever
I lay day dreaming

Fire
Fire is the thief of night stealing hearts so weak
Hotter grows the flames of passion
Silence burns the words they speak
Brave are those who enter slowly
Those who show no fear
Lost are hearts in flames of confusion
Consumed are hearts so dear
Shorter burns the melting candle
Quickly ends the sweltering night
Fire has ravaged many a heart
Innocence will cease in the morning light…

night
the smell of a chaotic day exudes in the crevices of the streets
an end finally came to the screetching of tires & the bustling of commuters
windows with "sorry we're closed" signs are evidence the day is over
solace now fills the slumber of the city
stars peeking through pillows of clouds beam in vain upon the sleepy city
as street sweepers whisk away the remnants of another day past, alley cats battle over scraps of a thrown out sandwich
the night will dwindle in a megacycle
swiftly a new day will emerge

Stillness
Still and cold was the night I departed
The moon suspended in a blue velvet sky
Motionless stood the ocean as I soared across a thin veil of scattered clouds
Beneath me laid a boundless void-
Like the same void that I feel in my heart now
Gently I closed my teary eyes
A shadow of gray casted upon the moon
I awoke sailing ever so gently across a violet sunrise
Unmelted snow remained on mountain peaks
Still and cold remained the day I arrived…

Marketplace
Chanting from the mosque echoed throughout the marketplace
A burly fishmonger shouts proudly of his latest catch
People shoving in line at a bakery to get the last of the fresh bread
A narrow alley reeks of ancient culture read about in history books
A westerner walks among their civilization
Outside the mosque she sees a crowd of men dressed in black and unshaven
Some teary eyed. Some somber,
One of their own had died
Maybe a father or brother
Perhaps the death anniversary of a fallen war hero
The chanting at the mosque intensified with greater magnitude
The fishmonger changed his bloody apron to a black shirt
The bakery locked its door
The westerner glanced back at the crowd in front of the mosque
I will eat bread and fish tonight…

Anguish.
I've known you in my mind and I've loved you in my soul.
Our passion is a secret for the world to never know.
Like the withering of a flower that yearns for the summer rain,
you will not know the anguish of this never ending pain.
If I should die tomorrow and exhale my final
breath next to you,
know that the love we shared together was
nothing but profound and true...
